What do you do about a tick infestation on several acres? I have almost 5 acres no dogs for 3 years now. But we have a hugh tick infestation. We can't even do any thing to the land cause if you get out of the vehicle there are 30 ticks on you immediately. There are some flattened out areas that the deer look to being laaying down in. What can I do to get rid of them? Am I just going to have to wait until winter sets in? But then what of next year? ... (Asked by hatchling)

Contact upscale restaurants and specialty grocery stores about what they would like to have and prices thay are willing to pay. How many acres would you need to build 15 - 4800sq ft quad-plexes? We want to put parking under the quad-plex and have the area filled with walking paths and flower gardens. NO, you didn't give any actual sizes of each item. What is huge? not a measurement. Sit down with some paper and figure it out-- use some graph paper and graph out each item and how you would want to place them. Just roughly, you could get all you are saying on less than an acre, but may want more space than that depending on how much yard you want and the size of the pool, space to the other house. Build a small house on it and let people hire it. Grow your own food on it! In the begining it will cost a lott but after a while it will come out cheeper than going to the supermarket. It's your land an money, do what you want to do with it....(Answered by onlinematthew)

The average subdivision lot is less than one quarter of an acre, even with large homes on them. Depending on your definition of a "small" garden, a 2B/1B home would leave plenty of room in the yard for a "home garden"....(Answered by Florida SunLover)

Are you talking like a forest or wooded area? Call some of the wood companies such as Weyerhaeuser... http://www.weyerhaeuser.com/ Depending on the type of trees you have, they will actually come in, cut the trees down for you and pay you for the wood! My grandfather had 40 Acres and they paid him $15,000 to selectivly cut down all the aspen trees on his property. I will warn you these guys will make a mess, so if you want to clear cut everything be prepaired to get a bull dozer to clean up the mess afterwards.
