This is a good website for egg info ... http://whatscookingamerica.net/Eggs/BoiledEggs.htm To keep the eggs from cracking, I prick the large end of the egg with a small needle. It's always worked for me. And to make soft boiled eggs, place your eggs in a pot with enough water to cover the entire eggs. Bring to a hard boil for about a minute and remove from heat. Let sit for about 7 minutes. I use the peeling technique near the bottom of the website I provided and get perfect shaped eggs every time! Good luck!...(Answered by jlynburton)

It really depends on how much you add in to begin with. If possible try to add the least amount of salt you can, a great trick is to use Sea salt because in my experience it just isn't as salty as regular iodized salt. Also if you want to greatly cut down on the amount of salt when you are boiling the meat try throwing a peeled whole potato in the pot, because potato's are drawing agents and suck the salt right up ( Helpful Hint: this works great for soups, stews and sauces as well; and since there ...(Answered by little chef)

Yes. Pasta needs to be added to boiling water, otherwise it gets kind of sticky and the texture isn't right. Try an experiment. Put a pan of cold water and pasta on the stove and let it cook; then you will see for yourself....(Answered by Tom K)
