Q.
can you get allen keys to open up my Bosch vacuum?
It has a special hexagonal screw that a regular allen key wont fit. Bosch obviously would prefer you to send it into to be mended - I just want to take out the special shaped Bosch screws so I can disassemble the brush and clean it so if works better. A.
Try each of these in the following order: 1) Check that there are no kinks in the drain hose. 2) Check that the pump is actually working. If you can't hear it, you need a new one. 3) Clean out the drain filter. Warning: When you open it, all the water will come out! Stand by with a bowl and bucket. 4) Take the back off and disconnect the drain hose at both ends. Poke out the blockage with a stiff wire (coathanger wire is ideal)...(Answered by old know all)

Planning to buy a cord drill, available brands : Bosch, Black and Decker, and Skil..which one should i buy?
Good, long term usage and more to weekend projects.Thank you ... (Asked by mud_dann)

A.
Bottom line: Based on your stated use for weekend projects any of the three brands would be OK. In fact, given the low cost of electric drills they are essentially disposable so almost any brand/model will do. Drills are not precision instruments so for weekend use anything costing more than about $30 (CDN) should last at least 5-10 years. I did try to get some objective advice for you, but most on-line reviews are of either cordless or hammer drills. It appears that a simple corded drill is beneath the radar for reviewers. That said, the link below does provide spec. ...(Answered by agb90spruce)

Q.
Bosch cordless drill model GSR 12-1, 12 volts : professional or domestic use?

View Entire Question | Report Abuse | Similar Questions | See it in Y!
A.
I happen to have some Bosch Cordless tools, and many other brands. I use DeWalt 12 volts often, as they are handy, lighter weight, and I keep multiple batteries charging. I relaize the more popular now are 18 volt or even 14.5 but I'm OK with mine. The issue is that a 12 volt truly is more appropriate for lighter duty work. That said however, and without knowing the extent you intend as a commercial tool, the 18's likely won't keep a charge and/or be any more effective for any longer a time span that a 12, or others.
