Question for florists: How can I calculate the number of flowers for a bouquet?
I saw on www.aquarelle.co.uk that for a bouquet having a diameter of 30 cms one needs 32 roses, for one of 25 cms: 27 roses and for one of 35 cms in diameter 37 roses. I want to use different varieties of flowers instead of roses, but do not know if this proportions will do. The Bouquet Flowers can be dried, turned into potpourri or individually pressed within the pages of a book. To properly preserve a bouquet, don’t delay, begin the drying process before leaving on your honeymoon. Turn the bouquet upside down and hang it in a dry, dark place for about two weeks. By that time it should be completely dried out and ready to decorate a wall or shelf. To make potpourri, remove fresh petals and place in a bowl out of sunlight, for about 2-3 weeks. You can get tulips at any time of the year. Try growingtulips.com They have very pretty tulips available year round. Since you like tulips and are having your wedding in the fall how about stay with a purple, orange, and yellow theme and have each table set with a different color? Tie your bouquets with some pretty ribbon, and have vases to set your bouquets in on the head table. Take a ball of clay and roll it into a teardrop shape. Flatten out the teardrop. Make a narrow cylinder and place it about 1/2 way down the centerline of the flat teardrop. Starting from the point, roll it so the bottom 1/3-1/2 becomes a tapered, hollow tube....(Answered by Megan S)

I'm not sure what you mean by wedding show bows? Have you looked at products called Oasis and Sahara? These are the foams used for bouquets. They have a special holder for bridal bouquets to hold either fresh or dry materials and come with their own handle. Check out www.afloral.com...(Answered by fluffernut)
