Call it names, put it down, try to lower it's self esteem, make fun of it, threaten to turn a cat loose on it if it doesn't straighten up. Oh, you meant distress as in looking older? not stressed? Sorry. Might try using a mild abrasive such as a cleaner with pumice. Test in an inconspicuous place first....(Answered by woodenwater1959)

A.
Make sure you measure accurately. Nothing worse than having the wrong liner. It isn't a hard job. (At least I never thought so, but I've installed so many.) Read the instructions before you begin. Liners are folded a certain way and it is far easier to unfold them so they are oriented correctly than to get them all unfolded and have to turn them around. Stick the bead in the track about every 3 to 4 feet- just to hold it in place and support the weight (the things are heavy.) Once in place go back and start hanging the ...(Answered by windancerhil)

Q.
Bathroom Vanity Lighting Source(s)?
On the bathroom remodel, I would like to install the vertical lighting on either side of the medicine cabinet as per numerous lighting designers recommendations. Unfortunately, the available space on either side of the cabinet is limited to no more than 3", which has surprisingly restricted the choices so far to about zero. I would prefer fluorscent lamps with diffusers and brass base units along with electronic ballasts. After too many hours trollling the net and visits to local lighting shops and way too many catalogs, still no luck. Thanks in advance for any suggestions on suppliers to contact for ... It is frustrating when a lighting designer recommends a certain type of lighting and then doesn't follow up with the source of the fixtures. I would go back to the designers and lean on them to find the fixtures for you. That is their business and they have immediate access to far more resources than you do. I wish I could offer a better solution, but I don't have an easy answer. I can tell you that I have done as I have advised and found results every time. I have to admit that being ...(Answered by exbuilder)

It depends on what type of woodworking he does. There are many, many brands of different tools out there. To each his own. You could try this link. They have an online store and alot of very fine products to choose from. Maybe a gift certificate from a place like this and he can pick out what he needs or wants. Good Luck. www.woodcraft.com...(Answered by Joel A)

I went out and found Bob Villa's site and some other sites with plans: http://www.platform-bed-plans.com/ http://www.woodsmith.com/plans/platform-bed/ http://www.woodsmith.com/plans/platform-bed/exploded/ but the item you ref'd at Walmart is even simpler. The trick for you is deciding whether you REALLY want to build it yourself or not. Between the plywood ($50), a saw, a drill gun, some metal corner brackets, and a few skirt boards, building it yourself will cost more than what WalMart is charging ($99). I suggest you save and buy it from WalMart. In fact, at that price, I may go get one myself....(Answered by James H)
