In my Victorian house all the original knobs on the shutters and the door handles were black 'porcelain, but a lot of Victorian coat hooks and window lifts etc were brass. I dont think there were a lot of wooden knobs, maybe carved handles....(Answered by jayktee96)

my family has had the same problem, if its and antique, the keys made are usually the same for various other antique furniture items. why not go to antique stores, buy a few keys (usually a few dollar) and give it a go!! goodluck...(Answered by Riley C)

You can put anything that will fit, into a cedar chest. Many people store wool items in them since moths are repeled by the cedar. Ever wonder why the inside of a cedar chest is unvarnished? A very light sanding every few years will keep the cedar smell fresh. The same goes for cedar lined closets. Good luck with your cedar chest....(Answered by exbuilder)

Hello, my husband and I run cool room business (well he does I read cards lol) and his opinion is as follows: Metal conducts cold, plastic does not. Therefore if the metal is not sealed properly it will 'frost over'. Also the life of the freezer may be lessened due to the fact metal rusts and plastic does not. Plastic allows longevity of appliance as apposed to metal that will rust. I hope this helps you make up your mind. Personally I would go for the plastic one as you will enjoy a much longer life ...(Answered by harriettpotty)

Can you keep a chest freezer in an outbuilding?
I need a freezer but do not have the room in my kitchen. What I do have however, is sort of conservatory that in the winter is very cold and in the summer is very hot. I have heard that you can get fridges to use in extreme temperatures, is this also true with freezers? I am looking for a medium sized chest freezer but have had no luck in finding one in the UK to use in extreme temperatures. can I just use a normal chest freezer? use your freezer for the things you are going to use this week.. or get into often.. coffee beans.. ice cream.. open packages (frozen veggies, the easy foods that have been open, chicken nuggets, burritos (can you tell i have kids??) Popsicles.. for the adults.. vodka.. you will find you have things that you don't want to constantly go into your garage for.. put those in your freezer...(Answered by c)
