Laminate Chipping....?
I just put in new laminate flooring and I'm loving it, except we chipped a couple of peices when installing it. I was told there are repair kits for such problems but I'm having trouble finding any. Do any of you know of any repair kits for laminate flooring? Links?

Go to Lowe's and look for Precision repair filler. It comes in a small squeeze tube and you'll find it in either the flooring dept. or around the countertops. It is made to fill chips scratches and seams in laminate flooring and countertops and comes in a large variety of colours. I use it every week, good stuff....(Answered by fakest forest) |

Go to a hardware store or carpet store or the place you purchased your flooring and tell them what is happening. They should carry this stuff in a tube you can squeeze into the chipped places. I had hardwood floors and occasionally I would hang furniture or something and rip a piece and would do this. It also will help if you have a piece to take with you for color match. Also it might help if you use a mallet instead of a hammer or at least a towel or something to cushion the blow....(Answered by dw) |

Take care, wack the tile you want to remove in the middle with a medium weight hammer, not to hard but enough to break it away using a small stone chistle chip away until the tile is gone. Finish tidying up with an 1" scraper. you will soon get the idea.
