Most land in Sriperumbudur/ Sriperumbuthur on the Chennai to Bangalore Highway is being acquired by the Tamil Nadu Goverment SIPCOT agency, in order to hand over to International Investors. However since land prices are sky rocketing in and around Chennai City, and it is difficult to get approved land anywhere at rates below 10 Lakhs, I was wondering what would be the rate that the Government would be offering for land at Pillaipakkam village which is situated just 3 Kms from Rajiv Gandhi Memorial, and on the Sriperumbuthur to Tambaram Highway. A.
What are they planning to use that easement for? It might dramatically depress your property's value, so the compensation should consider that, although if this is the government who wants it they may ignore you completely and just exercise the imminent domain. In all cases, don't just sit there. Contact an attorney and a real estate agent and see what are the possible implications on your property value and act accordingly....(Answered by Alexander K)
