where to find old dining table?
in magazines and decorating books i see a lot of old dining tables (old but NICE looking with lots of character) being used. i like the look and it's practical for kids. but could i look to find one? the used ones i see are not really old, just used and run-of-the-mill.
i like the raw finishes.. something like a farm table. i wouldn't like an antique with polished finishes.

Ebay has some nice ones that are made out of reclaimed wood or old barn wood that have that look - just type in farm table and see what comes up - there may be a seller in your area....(Answered by Caroline H) |

How do I remove a heat source stain from my dining room table?
I have two small white stains on my Ashley wood dining table. The stains came about after setting a hot dish on the surface. The pot holder I used was not thick enough to protect the wood. Does anyone know how to remove these types of stains? I will buy a product from a store but I prefer to use home remedies....Thank you in advance.

I haven't been successful with home remedies but Jasco makes a white ring remover that works every time, it is just hard to find. Ace hardware in my area is the only home improvement center that carries it. Howard's Restore A Finish will also work if it is not a deep scorch. You just wipe it over the surface, allow it to soak in and wipe off the excess. It does not damage the finish either. It is easier to find on the paint/stain aisle at Home Depot or Lowes, too....(Answered by eskie lover) |

Where can i buy a cheap dining set online uk?
Im looking for a new dining room set, table and 6 chairs, but on a very low budget, ive searched quite a few sites online and they are still pricy, where can i buy one that is cheap or discounted? To be honest im not bothered if its not brand new, it can be ex catalogue, etc. Im looking for one which is a wooden table and those cream high backed chairs if possible. Ive already tried ebay, argos, mfi, etc. Any ideas please?
