How can you tell how long you have had mice, we recently found droppings in a cabinet, they much be recent.?
We are in there about once a week so we would notice any droppings we think it just started, but why nothing has changed except out above ground pool burst flooding our backyard. Anyway there is a pretty decent amount of droppings in the cabinet, kind of looks like someone spilled some chocolate sprinkles for ice cream.

How do I protect myself when cleaning up after Mice and Droppings?
I have been hired to clean a very icky house where someone was evicted. A lot of food waste being left around led to a massive mouse invasion, which got worse and worse until they finally put out poison out - and then didn't bothor to take the dead bodies out. I know from the droppings there is risk of hantavirus, so I am planning on spraying the whole place down with disinfectant indicated to kill it. Plenty of ventilation, but not pushing air with a fan. I'm not positive, but I believe the dried droppings that disinigrate and become air-borne then inhaled is where the danger is. If you're using the paper masks, make sure you have a good "seal" that doesn't let any particules in where it butts up against your face. (Maybe splurge and get yourself a good mask, especially while your pregnant.) Also, it might be beneficial to get yourself one of those paper suits that fit over your cloths, head and shoes so you don't carry anything unsavory into ...(Answered by originaleve01) |
