Is it expensive to use the stove?
My kitchen doesn't heat very well and I dont' want to heat up my dining room more just to get the kitchen warmer, so I boil a kettle of water for about 15 minutes every hour or so. Will that be cheaper than running the furnance more (electic heat).? Also, will that ruin the pain on the kitchen walls?

Usually when you run the central heating in your home...that dries out the air inside your home....so putting a kettle of water on the stove will help restore the moisture and help your sinuses. The steam coming out should not hurt your paint on the walls....unless it's so steamy that your kitchen looks like a sauna bath house....(Answered by extex_cop) |

I've heard that gas is the warmest and propane is very efficient. However, being single I don't like a fire under my house that I can neither see nor tend, so last year I had my gas heat removed and had all-electric installed. There are now electric heat pumps that are so efficient, the US government will give you a rebate on them. Radiators are very costly to use. I'd change that as soon as you can afford to, or better yet, add that to the mortgage amount and have it done before you move in. ...(Answered by rocksister) |

Most of the mouse poisons on the market cause the mouse to die from internal bleeding within 3 days or so. Before the mouse dies, it experiences thirst, and this tends to drive it outside looking for drinking water - it is therefore less likely to die in the roof. Even if it does, the dehydration tends to make the corpse mummify (dry out) rather than rotting, unless you live in a very humid area. If you absolutely want to avoid dead mice in your roof, use a trap that catches the mouse (dead or alive) and ...(Answered by aeroba2000) |

Why is it so difficult to find electric start tillers?
I am a single semi-senior citizen with a zeal for organic gardening. I am not strong enough to start a recoil type engine. ( I have a DR trimmer which has an electric start system.) Why are there not more electic start products on the market? As we all know, our senior citizen ranks are growing. With gardening implements that are easy to start and use, it seems to me that there would be a demanding market for such tools.

I found one.. but it is kind of expensive. Maybe if you found one that you liked, before purchasing it, you could go to a lawn mower dealer , repairs store and ask if it is possible to put one on the rototiller that you are interested in purchasing.
