A.
Not usually, it would depend on the size of the conservatory, where you want to put it and if the house has been extended or altered before. But generally if it is of average size and at the back of the house there will be no problem especially if any of your your neighbours have one. You may need permission to move drains etc but this rarely necessary. Like houses conservatory's cost very different amounts. £2,000 for a basic DIY lean to on a slab base, £10,000 for a firm to do a half decent job including brick work and plaster. I have erected a panel fence, the posts are concreted in the ground 1.5ft is there anything else to steady it.?
... (Asked by pinesy@btinternet.com)

A.
Panel fences don't usually need any additional stabilisation - you don't say how high the fence is so I don't know whether your posts are deep enough. If it is a six foot fence I would have probably gone down to two feet for the post holes, but you should be OK unless you live in a very windy area....(Answered by SusansHusband)

In most cities, the City Planner is responsible for assigning this number. For smaller buildings, the new structure is given the number of the 'block' of land it is on. Particularly large buildings, or those receiving a great deal of land, may be given a special, extra-long number seemingly removed from the buildings around it, or may take up an entire block's worth of numbers (such as an office building have the address 1700 Waybossett Street, but the next building starting at 1801 Waybossett Street). You'll have to contact the city planner for tha particular city you ...(Answered by themayorbynight)

Q.
need a recommendation for someone who can create and submit a planning application in northamptonshire?
previous owners of my house erected a wickes 12ft*12ft conservatory in approx 1997. I bought the house in 2000. Normally conservatories aren't a problem, but due to restrictive covenants on the land my house was built on... everything needs planning permission. My solicitor for the sale didn't spot this, and the vendor's solicitor made statements that were possibly misrepresentative about the planning permission status of the conservatory. I could argue the toss with both solicitors, but no guarantee of success.. and (at the end of the day) life's too short. I want to sell the house and need to get planning ... (Asked by James)
