If it is a DIVIDING WALL Which would mean
that it is on the property Line ANYTHING
That is on YOUR side No longer belongs to him.
It is no longer Only his wall. If the wall is solely on HIS
property Erect your Trellis on Your property.

what gauge extension cord should I use?
what gauge extension cord should I use for my christmas lights? I have commercial grade mini christmas lights from GE that say you can connect up to six runs. Each run is 200 lights and 58 feet and I will be using 6 runs together. I have to run 200 feet from the house before getting to the mini lights. The box of xmas lights say they are 67.2w 120v 60hz. I have always heard that 300 mini lights = 1amp. What gauge extension cord should I use since I need 200 feet of it? Thanks

Okay, the longer the run, the larger the voltage drop. Get heavy duty outdoor cord meant for lawn mowers, and other outdoor tools, and be sure. The minimum gauge should be 14, and a 12 gauge cord will last for years without any danger of overloading. Do not use indoor cords of any gauge, they will be too stiff....(Answered by Fred C) |

Plugging a refrigerator in using an extension cord?
I have a fridge in my garage and where it's situated, I'll need an extension cord. One of my friends told me that you shouldn't use extension cords when plugging refrigerators, but couldn't tell me why. Has anyone ever heard this before? And why would it be a bad idea?

A refrigerator has a compressor in it, which at start-up will draw about 6 times the rated amperage of the compressor motor ... you can use an extension cord, but make sure that it is of the same wire size as the branch circuit serving the receptacle (plug) #12 wire minimum + ground for a 20A circuit and #14 wire + ground for a 15A circuit...(Answered by ppp) |

As this is a wooden building and is not built into the house, it is classed as a temporary building and does not need planning permission, so it can stay there as long as you like. For everything else I think the time scale is ten years, but I'm not 100% sure on that....(Answered by peter266582) |
