For easier use-- I would rinse quickly and put on sili sheet on a cookie sheet with sides-- give them a quick freeze and then bag-- also works with grapes and strawberries-- probably others too. You then get a loose pack. Do get as much air out of the bag as you can.... Wish you were near to me! My new bush ( one only) is giving me a handful every other day-- and the birds haven't found it!! Yea! good luck...(Answered by omajust)

You can freeze all of that stuff and they will be fine for the winter. You should cut them into pieces. None of them will be crunchy though but kind of watery/mushy so you'll probably have to use all of the stuff for cooking not just the jalapenos....(Answered by Sunny)

Q.
Why do my salads freeze in my fridge?
My husband makes about 12 salads each week, puts them in rubbermaid containers and stores them in the fridge for us to take with lunches during the week. Each salad usually consists of romaine lettuce, mushrooms, cucumbers and red pepper. There is no dressing on them (it's added later). We had a refrigerator that was about 5 years old - it was a cheap model - and we noticed that our salads kept freezing (when you opened one of the rubbermaid containers, the tomatoes and the lettuce would be frozen and visible frost would be present). Sometimes eggs ... (Asked by Lolly)

You are probably placing the salads where the cold air is comming from the freezer. Move the salads away from the air duct and keep them towards the front of the shelf. They will take a day or two to thaw if they are already frozen so don't think moveing them has not worked if you still have something frozen before then....(Answered by ApplianceGuy)

Not a tasty conclusion. Have never seen them in a grocery store freezer section. Canning or drying is the best for flavor. You can give it a go by blanching them in boiling water to remove the skin and preserve flavor - then freeze. They will defrost soft and watery. After blanching you could dice them, toss the liquid and then freeze. Blanch and puree into sauce and then freeze. Best yet - be generous and share the fresh ones with everyone. Whatever you give away comes back two fold, right......(Answered by Quest)
