I actually did a study on this. Most programs with regards to the one you are speaking of is not based on disability but instead income. Disability is recognized as a class just as ethnicity, sexual orientation or veteran status. Therefore no discounts or assistance can be given because you are disabled, but instead because of your income. If you received a program based on the fact that you are disabled, then it would be no different than getting a discount, based on your ethnicity as the goverment see disability as a characteristics. There however many programs which you may ...(Answered by Lovelifeandliveit)

You simply have to qualify for the FHA/VA/Conventional terms then couple the other program terms with it. Those programs are offered to assist people buy homes that otherwise may not qualify. If you are handicapped, you may contact a builder to have your home constructed for your convenience. A.
Leave things the way they are, with one or both of you inheriting the house - that way if you ever sell it, your basis will be it's value as of when your mother dies - if she gives it to you now, your basis would be what she paid for it, plus any improvements. It might be simpler if she wills it just to you rather than joint ownership, but that depends on what your brother's handicap is - might not matter, if he's capable mentally of managing his own affairs. She won't owe any estate taxes ...(Answered by Judy)

I am afraid I can't tell you where to find such a home, however my assumption would be that you would likely be best off to contact and or research the manufacturing companies of manufactured homes and or trailers, and see if they can make adjustments to their designs to accomodate your specific needs. In over 20 years selling real estate, I have not seen to many homes, never mind manufactured homes that have been dramatically adjusted, and ever come for sale as a resale, theyh tend to stay with the people, and the people likely do not move as often ...(Answered by peterpfann)
