This is most successful using woody stemmed plants. You will need to graft one plant on to the other, using the healthiest plant for the transfer. Make a small yet fairly deep nick in the main stem of the plant getting the transfer near the bottom of the plant. Hold open with a toothpick while you work. Snip off a piece of the transfer plant at a joint and dip in "rooting compound". Place the transfer piece into the nick and remove toothpick. Take a clump of spagnum moss and pack around the joined ...(Answered by clearentertainermanagement) |

My husband and I keep an indoor garden and love it. We have a low table in front of a south facing window where we place the containers.
(Don't over water, this will rot the roots.)

"Your question.....Do I cut back my lilies when they have flowered?
No, allow the lily stems to die back naturally, the dried up stems can then be removed.
8. How often should I water my lilies?
Lilies are able to withstand dry conditions that would kill most shrubs, but grow best with constant moisture. However good drainage is essential to ensure they never become sodden. If ...(Answered by Joanne A. W) |

Scientists believe the Meyer lemon is a hybrid, a cross between a regular lemon and either an orange or a mandarin. They’re sometimes smaller than a regular lemon, rounder in shape, with a thin, soft, and smooth rind which ranges from greenish when slightly immature to a rich yellow-orange when fully ripe. The rind lacks the typical lemon peel oil aroma and the pulp is darker yellow and less acidic than a regular lemon. The complex flavor and aroma hints of sweet lime, lemon and mandarin. Are the "hybrid" air conditioners worth the investment?
We want to install central air conditioning in our new home in the Denver, CO area and was wondering if it is worth our money to invest in the hybrid model that cools in the summer; and heats the house like a furnace when the temperature is above 35 degrees? Which central air conditioning brand is best? Which brand to stay away from?

In short, yes, it is definitely worth the investment. On average, a hybrid heat model is roughly 35% more expensive, but can save hundreds a year in air conditioning, especially as energy prices increase.
The hybrid models all work differently. Some engage a separate mode of heating after a certain level of outdoor temperature. Bryant models automatically adjust based on the price of fuel, and balance the most cost and energy efficient method to heat your home (electric or gas).
Bryant also has an interactive tool which not only shows you how the system works, but shows you how ...(Answered by Carolina Airworks) |

Will a hybrid seedling from am orange purchase from a grocer produce fruit, and if so, how long would it take?
A friend planted an orange seed from an orange bought from the store, about 6 yrs ago. The tree is healthy, still in a pot. If planted into the ground, would it be possible for this to produce fruit? Would it need 2 trees to pollinate? I know absolutely nothing about growing things.

The actual answer is "yes" your tree may produce fruit. But the real question is what kind of fruit will you get? That answer is "sour" fruit, because agricultural citrus must be grafted as a young plant with the cultivar of the fruit that you want to produce. Once the tree is outside, in the ground and getting nutrition, it might flower--but will need to be pollinated to produce fruit.
But, even if you do get sour fruit, that isn't a waste because there are a lot of things you can make with sour juice by just adding sugar. ...(Answered by Bromeliad) |
