If your set has a table with it i would cover it with a floor length table cloth , i bit longer than actually ...(Answered by sarah l)

OK, my room is a rectangular room, with the ceiling slanted then flat at the top, if that makes sense, Anways, the ceiling and two short walls are white, and the two long walls are royal blue. Also, the closet's white. All I know for sure is that I want my room more colorful, inviting and awesome! I know for sure that I'm painting vertical lime green stripes over the blue walls, but beyond that, I don't know what I want to do. I was thinking of havning the main color scheme blue, lime green and perhaps pink, but I ... (Asked by miafan10)

k. i cannot help you with colors, coz i think blue and green are absolutely perfect! (my room is rectangular as well, opposite walls are white, and the other two are bright green. i have dark blue decor.) but i can tell you how to make perfectly straight lines! okay. don't just put tape down and paint, coz that leaves a mess and nicks once you remove the tape. put down the tape, and put caulk down on the edge that you're going to be painting, and make sure you put some on the wall. don't put it on really ...(Answered by need2getagrip)

Q.
What is the most inviting color for a room?
I know this is partially personal preference, but we have a "room" in an antique/coop mall which is now a worn white, we can paint it as long as the color is fairly neutral. I think there is research about colors and moods, such as red in a dining room, it makes you hungary. What is warm and inviting that will help people to enter and "shop" in our "room"? ... Q.
home decor advice?
My husband hates floral prints and any sort of floral decoration. I'm so sick of stripes, plaid and squares. Our house is a blank canvas other than the square themed area rugs (none of them match) and our stripe shower curtain. We have a black leather couch that we're still paying for...so have to keep it. I want our home to feel inviting and put together...like a model home. But his taste is horrible. I make only $8/hour and he makes $30/hour. His attitude is that since he makes more...what he says..."goes". ugh. ... (Asked by 30yearold)

You need to go to stores like Home Goods and Marshalls. They have so much stuff and the prices are second to none. You can really find original pieces there too. You have to find what style calls your name, I love Tuscan. My husband isnt into the floral either. This style is old world, but not "girlie". There is Asian, Moroccan, modern, - you can always go modern with a few pieces from another style and make it eclectic....(Answered by julie j)

A.
It depends on the style of your decorating and the color of the room. If it is a red or deep color, I would say Oak or Cherry Wood, but if you have an asian inspired home, definetely cherry wood. If your more of the country clutter look, use a rich oak or pine. Keep in mind, you an always stain something to make it darker if it is a natural wood....(Answered by honoluluhoney13)

Why aren't off-white roofing tiles used (or even available) in hot weather countries? Terra cotta invites heat
... (Asked by luther7117)

A.
The terra cotta tiles have more to do with the available raw material for roofing. Years ago before man-made materials like asphalt shingles, roofing materials were made from local material. Terra cotta is was made from clay mixtures and baked in the sun outside originally. The design was easy. As time went on they learned to bake them in ovens, (in ground ovens, like the indians). Terra cotta is still a cheap and long lasting material in many countries. You need asphalt plants for making the typical roofing shingle. You'll find these plants few and ...(Answered by tillerman58)
