if you don't eat or drink from it, seal it with RustSeal by KBS Coatings. The KBS system sampler kit for $16 is a good deal. RustSeal is a non porous coating so water will not enter the metal again and rust will not reoccur. Rust Seal comes in some diff colors too....(Answered by flowerpower)

First, you need to sand the rust off the metal. Then you need to paint the bottom of the table and chairs with an outdoor paint made for metal. Home Depot or Lowe's may haves small pieces of plastic that attach to the legs of the chairs and table for a more long term solution....(Answered by Jinx)

How to remove clay and iron stains from brick walls, windows and grill doors?
Hi! I was wondering if anyone knows any trick in removing clay and iron stains from light coloured brick walls and from windows and grill doors. I have badly "iron stained" walls and fence (colourbond) and "impossible to remove clay" on my windows and pavers and on my black grill doors. All this was due to my bore water initially and now it's driving me insane with my house being the only one in the area with such stains! Would truly appreciate any advice that ppl may have. Thanks! ... (Asked by JO)

OHHHHHHHHH ! Don't you dare use muriatic acid on light colour bricks and grill doors !!! It will acid-burn your bricks and make them a pukey yellow-greeny-yellow with a brand new kind of stain, "vanadium stain", and the rust stain will remain just the same. Muriatic acid will etch the glass, and it will definitely react with the metal on the grill doors severely corode the surface and disintegrate the metal turning it into a form of some kind of "salt". Brick manufacturers specifically advise AGAINST using muriatic acid, especially for light colour bricks, but ...(Answered by brickstone)

Puit the iron on the hottest setting (no steam). Saturate and squeeze out a rough piece of rough cloth (denim, terrycloth) with Club Soda. "Iron" the cloth and it should remove the black stain and not scratch. I learned this when I worked in restaurants and cleaned the grill with Club Soda. Great stain remover....(Answered by sensible_man)

Seasoning When you season cast iron, you are embedding grease in to the pores of the cookware. Without proper seasoning, cast iron will rust after coming in contact with water. To season your cookware, first warm your pot or skillet, then rub a thin layer of shortening (or corn oil as some cooks suggest) all over the the surface of the pan, inside and out. Lay the pan upside down inside a 350 degree oven. Most cookware manufacturers suggest heating the pan for one hour, while some cooks suggest up to 4-5 hours for just the right amount of seasoning. The ...(Answered by Yah00_goddess)

Can a pin hole in the enamel on enamel-coated cast iron cookware cause enamel to crack?
We just got a shipment of enamel-coated cast iron cookware today and the skillet seems to have unfinished enamel on it. There's a small, pin-sized hole on the bottom on the inside. We were wondering if anything could get between the enamel and the cast iron or if it might chip at a later date? Or any other problems it might cause? Please let us know if we need to return the product. ... (Asked by Mianame)

I would return it. Once a chip or opening occurs on enamel coated cookware, rust will start forming, and continue to form. Resulting in an on going rust, and chipping off of the enamel. Can you understand this? Maybe it just sounds funny, but that is what happens. Byee...(Answered by Sandyspacecase)

Ok I have had this problem and it could be 1 of 2 things. 1 you foot valve could need replacing, and 2 your water level sounds like it is getting dangerously low because you should not have any mud content if both 1& 2 are fine. If you well is less than 200 ft. your water level could be low. and when we have alot I mean alot of rain my water is alittle muddy for a few days but clears up. Check on your foot valve 1st. If EVERYthing was too high. Your high PH & high Alkalinity will cause grren water at times. Pour approx. 1/2 cup muriatic acid in one spot, away from the jets & skimmer. Go back out in about 30 min. & you should see pretty blue water. In approx. 3 hours, test it. To be sure the ph didn't drop too far. If it did, add a TBS. of baking soda....(Answered by Pool Gal)
