I also vote for 'goo-gone' or 'goof-off'. These adhesive removers will take care of it in no time and the goo-gone has a citrusy smell to it so you don't have to worry about a harsh chemical filling the room. They are also useful for a multitude of other things around the house (e.g. gum in carpet, stickers on furniture) so it won't be a waste buying a bottle....(Answered by Bastet05)

Probably because it's a convenient shortcut, and because the tv commercials really do influence people to buy their product. I don't use Febreze or other chemicals. I'd either clean an item, or at least hang it outdoors to freshen up (this does work for some odors)....(Answered by delphinium)

You really can't. Your nose is so close to the material that you will always have that smell. Keeping it in the open air and letting it "AIR OUT" will help some after awhile. But it will still be there. If the smell really bothers you, try putting a smell that is stronger than the latex that you like under your nose. Perfume perhaps? Or maybe scrape an fresh orange and rub some of the orange oils under (not in) your nose. My husband (he's a dentist) does this when a patient is wearing too ...(Answered by T M)
