Where to buy a birdhouse?
Hi everyone! I decided that I wanted to finish a pre-made birdhouse, but I can't find any birdhouses tht you can actually use. I went to Michaels's, the arts and crafts store, and they had many birdhouses. However, none of them had doors to open the house to clean, and they were obviously only craft houses. Does anyone know where I can find a pre-made, ready to finish birdhouse that you can actually end up using outside, you know, for real birds? Thanks for the help!

i don't know where to buy one,but what you can do is,take one of the sloping roof sides off and attach a small hinge at the top then put a small hook and eye at the bottom to stop it moving in the wind....(Answered by DARREN M) |

AWESOME or GINORMOUS yard sale?
How should I title my yard sale ad in the paper to get people there. There will be furniture, home stuff, and maternity, baby-kids gear, toys, clothes. Oprah book club type books, art supplies that I overbuy at Michaels and lost the receipt for, etc. If you were going to rummage sale, what would you look for. For example, typically my key words would be "Little Tykes" or multi-family.

What's a 'feed' store and how do you locate one?
I need some wheat straw. I found some at Michaels, the arts & crafts store, but it is expensive (I need a lot). I was told to visit a feed store, where I would be able to buy it by the bushel for only a few dollars. I also need to pick up some other things (hay and hydrated lime). I live in NYC and have tried the Yellow Pages and Craigslist with no luck.
What are feed stores also known as and where would I locate one?

A feed store is where one goes for supplies for their animals, typically larger ones like horses and also dogs. Go back to your yellow pages and look under pet supplies/retail. NYC may be a little tricky, you may have to leave the city and visit a more rural area. Or, I bet you could approach one of the drivers of the horse carriages they have in central park. Ask where they get supplies for their horse(s)....(Answered by sweetmandi143) |
