How many minutes should you cook the hard tack candy at 300 degrees?
Ok so when its time to put the flavoring and the coloring in the hard tack candy is it ok if i put real cinamon from a jar in the candy? Or does it have to be a liquid consistancy? And how many minutes should I cook the candy at 300 degrees?
I love hard tack candy, but i don't know how to make it. HELP ME!!!

Lizzie -- I'm not a professional candy maker so this is just a suggestion. I don't think you should add a powdered cinnamon
because it would burn also if you add a liquid to the 300*F syrup there is a good chance you could get burned because it will almost explode when it comes in contact with the hot syrup. If I under took to do this I would add the flavor and color at the time the syrup comes to a boil or just before. And I would use cinnamon oil if possable

What is a simple, easy recipe that I can do in 10-15 minutes?
I need a simple recipe for an appetizer or a dip that I can do in 10-15 minutes. Here's the catch...
I have to demonstrate how to make this in a classroom. I'll have no stove or microwave. I have to use all cold or canned ingredients.
I'd like to do something that I can serve with crackers or chips.
And remember, it has to take at least 10 minutes to prepare, because that's how long the demonstration has to be.

Oh, and I'll also have utensils with me to cut up foods. And I can bring along spices and what not.

Quick, Easy -N- Fast Creamy Red Pepper Dip Recipe
1 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
8 oz. sour cream
8 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1 fresh jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped
1 red pepper seeded and finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 t. ground cumin
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
Serve with crackers.
For a quick No-Cook Appetizer
A thin slice of French baguette, spread with cream cheese that has been mixed with sun-dried tomato and pesto, add a tiny curl of prosciutto or a few slivers of bell pepper, and voila–beautiful and not-too-fiddly ...(Answered by sugar candy) |
