How to clean foam earplugs.?
I have a VERY noisy upstairs neighbor and I have to wear earplugs nightly to even think about getting sleep. I'd like to reuse the earplugs instead of having to buy new ones so often. These are the spongy, foam kind that you can buy in the hunter's section for ear protection while shooting ammo. I'm wondering if regular soap and water would work, or perhaps rubbing alcohol, or should I just continue to buy new ones? Any advice appreciated. Many thanks in advance!

I know that you want to use these over and over but they really aren't made for wash and wear. This is your hearing we are talking about, don't mess with it too much.
I have washed these type of earplugs in the washing machine by mistake and they come out clean.
But you should buy some of the rubber ones that are reusable and washable (some hand soap and water). They will block out the noise also...(Answered by smartygirl) |

Fisher & Paykel Washer & Dryer?
I'm very interested in these, but no one has one that I can see in operation - does anyone have personal experience? They are supposed to sound different, but I don't want to spend $$$ to find out if it's too noisy!
Thanks!

I ended up with a Bosch front loader. It only uses 11 gallons of water and spins like 1600 rpm. I was worried about the clothes not getting rinsed well enough, but they seem ok. Takes no time to dry. The only word of caution I would give for these front loaders is this. They seem to need to be ...(Answered by Squirrlee-1) |
