Q.
How do home gardeners make olive oil from the fruit on their trees?
Does anyone out there know how to produce olive oil from their garden trees? What about making olives for eating? When is it done, I mean what color are the olives when you cure them or make oil? ... (Asked by Riorose)

Olive oil is made by pressing with a machine called an expeller. You can buy them but they are expensive. The mash left over from the pressings is called pomace. Pomace oil is hexane-extracted. Probably none of this is practical for the home unless you are a DIY fanatic with lots of time and money. Olives are process for eating by curing in a lye solution. I've never done this although I know one or two people who do. You have to know what you're doing so you don't poison yourself....(Answered by David L)

Q.
What lubricant do you recommend I use between wood and plastic?
I'm working on fixing an armoire in my bedroom, and the drawer seems to be sticking more than I'd like it to. I narrowed it down to friction between the drawer and rail. The drawer is particle board, and the rail is some kind of plastic. I don't have white lithium grease; do you recommend I get some? I do, however, have at my immediate disposal olive oil, canola oil, moly-fortified synthetic grease (the red stuff), SAE40 Valvoline motor oil, SAE 5W30 AMSOIL motor oil, PB Blaster, WD40, and paint thinner (which leaves a thin grease when it dries). A.
I wouldn't do it. You are asking for a hot plastic mess! I can also imagine the iron on transfer would come off on moms feet as she wears the sandals. Solution: You could stencil the design onto the sandals. Check out your local craft store for paint and the plastic to make the pattern. Best of luck!...(Answered by usn4kidz)

Yes you are dead right copper olives are best for the job as they are softer and make a better seal inside the joint. plumb shops sell what is more profitable for them you should always insist on the ones you want. Correct number of walls to paint?
I would like to paint my master bedroom, and was thinking of a olive green! My furniture is large and room is not that bright! The walls are currently eggshell and I want to liven the room up with color! HELP! ... (Asked by Bug)

A.
How about painting the wall behind the bed the olive green and the other three walls a lighter shade of the same green. The paint strips in stores show all the matching colors. Who says rooms always have to be light. A bedroom can be dark like a cozy den to snuggle in and relax. Whatever you feel good in is what you should paint it. Good luck, remember its only paint and can be redone....(Answered by DaLady)
