go to your local nursery or home depot or somethin and buy them - rosemary is nice too, it will eventually grow into a nice bush that smells wonderful in the summer if you like or need a good groundcover, you could get some creeping thyme but they will also have your basil and parsley, and it beats growing it from a seed...(Answered by shomaliatimalla)

Why has my parsley died? I have bought some parsley from Tesco, already grown. When I got it home, 3 days later it's dying and now it is dead! All of my other herbs seem to be doing ok, the basil is starting to get a few dead leaves mind.....anyway I don't know if I over or underwatered it or not enough light (kept in kitchen on sill) but when I touched the parley the whole thing came away rotten from the soil..? Well firstly go and buy a packet of herb seeds and plant them outside either in a container or straight into the ground. Protect from cats until established. I have grown my own herbs for years and it is so lovely just to be able to cut as little or as much as you require from these plants. However, I did buy a pot of parsely from Tesco myself before christmas as mine in the garden had gone to seed. if you live somewhere that has frost free nights right now, then you can plant it out doors. but if its still winter where you live then the fastest way to grow it would be under artificial flourescent light. give it 16 hours a day of light and 8 hours of dark. you could set it in a bright south window, but the days are not long enough or bright enough right noe for it to grow very fast....(Answered by mickey)
