How long does it take plants to recover after repotting?
I have several different chili plants that have been growing on my kitchen windowsill. Yesterday I bought some terracotta pots and compost and repotted them. Immediately some of them appeared quite droopy, so I watered them afterwards.
They seemed to perk up a bit, but still seem a bit flacid.
Is this usual (it has been 24 hours now)?
How long should it take for them to recover? and is there anything I can do to help them (baby bio or similar)
I have repotted them to keep them outside, in big pots, so they will not be back in the window..

How can i make flowers perk back up?
I got some roses on Monday and yesterday they were still looking perfect. I brought them to my parents' house for the holiday and they smoke cigarettes. I found out that will kill flowers and now mine are wilting. Any ideas of ways to perk them back up? I've heard of using aspirin, but I don't have any...think ibuprophen works? :) Thanks for the help!

Change their water, cut the ends at an angle so they can take up more water and that should perk them up. I've never had luck with the aspirin, copper penny or fizzy lemon drink methods. I have used flower preservative to successfully extend the life of an arrangement. Often they will give it to you free in the grocery stores floral departments....(Answered by eskie lover) |

Percolation........it doesn't drain. For some reason water doen't move through the soil: high water table, some impervious layer preventing drainage (rock, caliche, whatever).
If you put a house there, the basement walls and floor would constantly ooze water. A septic system would have to be contained, that is no leach field, and pumped almost monthly. No swimming pool, they pop out of the ground unless constantly filled. Any additional rain would turn the land to a quagmire.
So any house would have to be elevated above ground level perhaps by bringing in dirt and creating ...(Answered by fluffernut) |
