Can I reuse a electrical plug for my dryer?
I recently purchased a new dryer. The electrical plug on the new dryer is a three prong dryer. The problem is that I have a four prong dryer electrical hook up. I currently have a old dryer that has the four prong electrical cord. Do you think it would be ok to replace the three prong electrical cord with the old four prong electrical cord? Thanks for your time.

Ensure the 3 terminal cord is for 240VAC. Sometimes it is meant for 120V. If this is the case you can not swap cords.
I will assume both dryers operate at 240VAC.
Make sure you understand the difference between the three and four wire outlets. Most likely the 3 terminal dryer uses two live lines and ground. The 4 terminal dryer also needed the neutral line. This is often for either the motor or the light bulb to operate properly at 120V.
If you use the 4 terminal cord on the 3 terminal dryer you will not be ...(Answered by warren914) |

The Oust Fan is great for all day use it kills all the odors and the spray is great too! Also I have a Scentstories by Glade that plays the scents, they are kinda pricey but you can usually find coupons for them in the Sunday paper or online at www.glade.com for around $10 off. I use the Oust Fans 24 hours a day in my bedroom and my kids room and on my sunporch where my cat has her litterbox. I keep the Scentstories thing in the living room where I can control when I want ...(Answered by jdeamom) |

I don't know if Glade Plug-ins actually last for sure, but I do know that usually once you become acustomed to the smell, it's harder for you to smell it. I hope that made sense, lol. Ask someone that doesn't live in your home if they smell it when they come over.
If it is in fact that the Glade Plug-ins don't work well, try the Febreeze plug-ins. They cost a little more at $8 and the refills are around $4, but they work really well and last forever. Hope this helps. Good luck!...(Answered by applebottom) |

Plug-in Scented oil type air freshener overflowed and damaged my hardwood floor?
This was an Airwick brand distributed by Reckitt Benckiser. I am not asking for help on fixing the floor, rather trying to find out if others have had problems with their hot oil type fresheners leaking.
Reckitt Benckiser has requested that I send the unit back to them for evaluation, however currently there is no damage to the wick or anywhere else on the unit, and I have no control over what happens to the unit once I send it to them.
One thing for certain, I will not allow these things anywhere near my home in the future.

Yes - I had the same problem, also by an Airwick air freshner. I was lucky in that the unit was plugged in an outlet over my guest bathroom sink. I didn't notice it straight away, but when I saw it, I cleaned it up. The marble vanity was not stained at all, so I was really lucky. I don't use the scented oils in the outlets anymore. I use concentrated oil fragrances in potpourri. The smell isn't quite as strong as the electric units, but I read something somewhere about them ...(Answered by kerry77) |
