I had the same problem with my partners navy blue polo work shirts ( he works for Office Max). Re-washing didn't help. I finally used white vinegar and rub it into each area of the shirt where the problem was. I let them sit for about 15 minutes and then ran thru a normal cycle (warm wash) with no detergent.
No more white spots!
Because your item is larger and bulky, you could do this over the bathtub.
Just be sure that you add the soap as the washer is filling and then add the clothing. ...(Answered by AgedWisdom) |

baby powder has alot of dust in it... it would be okay to put on carpet, but, it's gonna create alot of dust in your house... it'll probably be okay nfor garbage cans too, just put the bag in as soon as you put powder because of dust... the litter box, you probably won't be able to tell much difference in the odor, and everytime the cat scratches in the litter pan it's gonna stir up dust...also, if you have a 10 month old baby you don't want all that dust for him to breathe......(Answered by LittleLady) |

Whenever i see an advert for washing powder it says new, improved, better ,enhanced with this that and the other.etc etc,
Does this mean that all washing powders sold up to now have just been junk. and were really useless, Or have they just made a new advert up, used the word new improved etc and really not changed anything at all.
Are the powders really improved. or is it a sales trick??

New and improved is an oxymoron anyway. It's impossible for something to be both. Companies change a small ingredient in something and they'll say it's "New and improved" in an attempt to boost sales. It doesn't always mean it's better, in fact a lot of the time it's worse, or certainly no different. It's my personal belief that it's a big con!...(Answered by Opposite of people) |

Will carpet powder ruin my vacuum?
I had a roommate who loved to do house work. When she vacuumed, she'd sprinkle Glade powder on the carpet and it smelled so good. When she moved out, she took her vacuum with her. I bought a new Bissell powerforce vacuum. When I used it for the first time, I couldn't believe all the left over carpet powder it sucked up! I didn't use any carpet powder when I vacuumed. It was all left over powder in the carpet from my roommate. My vacuum is bagless with a dirtcup and filters. Everything was coated with powder. The outside of ... (Asked by skyblue) |

I know exactly what you mean! I loved using the carpet sprinkles too--made everything smell so good. But when I bought a new vacuum--with the dirt cup and filters--I had to quit using the sprinkles. My filters kept clogging up and it made such a mess. Then I tried the carpet foam room deodorizers that are on the market but I suppose they're leaving some type of residue on my carpet. Now I'm sticking to candles and potpourri burners. But my vacuum is over a year old and I use it, on average, every ...(Answered by grannyhuh) |
