Get a piece of sheet metal, and attach it with either pop rivets, or screws. You can even bend it to make the bottom part of the door, and bondo it to the bottom. Or, get some bondo, and fill it in, and sand it smooth and then prime and paint it. It can look just as good as new. Enamel paint for this job. why are day planners mainly made of leather/? I am so tired of regular planners on the market. And I am interestin in making my own or finding prettier ones. But I am wonderin if anyone knows why a majority of them are leather made. Is it for durability? What about a nice fabric plannner that is trendy? Drill a hole into the plaster and hammer sturdy wall metal wall anchors in. Then put in the screw and hang the mirror. Wall anchors are generally rated by weight. Get some that are WAY over the rated weight. For instance, if your mirror weighs 30 pounds, be sure the wall anchor can support at least 100 lbs, to be safe. Of course it depends on your personal taste, but I think that bead board paneling is so attractive. Maybe so far up the wall with a chair rail or all the way up. I'm getting ready to use some myself and I love it. My choice is Colonial and some antiques, but you could go Comtempory too. The ones I have are tongue and grove. Three inches by eight feet tall. You could gather up the rocks and bricks, into a mound, fill the crevices with a good potting soil, and plant some alpine flowers in it. Check out, with Google, for photos of Rock Gardens. Flowers are fairly inexpensive, either with seeds or six packs. Ask a neighbor, if they have any extras, in there yards. Many plants can be transplanted easily. Good luck and enjoy your new garden. What's the prettiest way to mount coax cable to a wall? I just moved into this house where the cable comes out of the most INCONVENIENT spot in the room. How can I run cable along the floorboards and over a door entry, without looking ugly and tacky? Any products you can recommend to me? I have tried self-stick conduit in the past, and it just peeled off the wall as soon as summer arrived. Paint the coax cable the same color as the walls. Then run it along the floor to the nearest corner, using cable fasteners that have a single nail on the side. Then run your cable up in the corner to the ceiling, make a right turn and then run along the seam where the ceiling and wall meet over to the corner nearest your TV. Then come down that corner, along the floor and finally plug into your TV, cable box or whatever. Don't use U-shaped staples or other fasteners which can compress the coax cable - it will change ...(Answered by Tom-SJ)
