A home theater system connects video sources (DVD, VCR, DVR, and cable or satellite boxes), a TV or monitor, and a set of five or six speakers through a home theater receiver. Many people also plug audio components (CD and MP3 players) into their receiver. It may be that all you need is a receiver and speakers. a 40 to 80 watts receiver is good for an average-sized basement. Buy a receiver with at minimum Digital Theater System (DTS) or Dolby Digital. (Dolby Digital and DTS are competing, incompatible formats for home theater sound. Check your DVDs--they're more likely to have ...(Answered by still breathing)

Q.
I'm looking for ways to mount my projector on a vaulted ceiling.?
The problem is I do not know how much thickness the ceiling has. I certainly dont want to be puncturing through the ceiling - since the ceiling is vaulted, it has no space between the roof and the ceiling. Does anyone have any suggestions? Web sites with hardware references to do this would be great. I believe mounting a ceiling fan would be the same. I do have a projector mount that comes to a 4 bolt base to mount to the ceiling. The fact that it is vaulted is also a challenge. No, corner mounts dont work for projectors. This isn't ... (Asked by hocky_06)

go to home depot or Lowe's and tell them you need corner mounts for a TV. You can mount it in the corner of the room and the corner brackets work great and also use butterfly screws or equivalent (as anchors in the wall) so you do not have to worry about it falling out. If you do not know what I am talking about just tell the people at Lowe's that you need anchors they will know what you mean....(Answered by sisinlovewithyou)

Inside of the roller is coil spring that winds up as you pull the screen down. This provides the force to pull the screen back up. There is also a ratchet that locks the screen in place when you stop pulling the screen down. The ratchet is arranged so that a second pull downward will unlock the ratchet and and allow the screen to roll back up. Any time you stop the screen for a moment the ratchet will reset and hold the screen in place. the hard part is the ratchet. The other parts, tubing and spring should ...(Answered by Frank and Carol)
