How do you remove printer ink from wood? I accidentally spilled water on a piece of paper that was lying on my kitchen counter, which is made out of wood. There is some kind of protective glaze on the wood, I think. The ink on the piece of paper ran, and now I can't figure out how to clean it off from the counter. Can you help? Thanks very much. ... How to remove the protective coating on silver and brass.? This coating is ok when it is undamaged, but when some has scratched or worn off and some has not, there are areas of oxidation and areas of "like new" shine. I tried removing this on an old piece of brass and it came off rather easily with nail polish remiover, but I think this was quite worn and thin already. Now I have a piece of silverplate with this coating on most of it, I tried the nailpolish remover and it is not really working. Does anyone known of a simple way of removing this clearcoat ... nail polish remover is just acetone,,,apply a generous amount ( mineral spirits may be more gentle ) on a rag,,,,and rub hard,,,,the coating is most likely an enamel clear coat...(Answered by Dr. Biker)

How can you get mildew out of a pair of jeans? How do you get out the smell at least? Is there a product that will also take out the mold? Soak the jeans overnight in warm vinegar water then wash them alone in cold water use fabric softner in the rinse and everything will be fresh. Good luck....(Answered by azjimhowe)

How can a grease stain be removed from fine suede? My wife has a pink Coach handbag (when something is this expensive, you don't call it a purse). She carried it before spraying it with a protective treatment and then got hot sauce from some Buffalo Wings on it. What can be used to get the stain out. I would definitely take it to a dry cleaners specializing in suede and leather. Make sure to tell them what the stain is. Never put any type of solvent or liquid on suede or leather. The price of the cleaning will not match the cost of replacing it!...(Answered by Hamish MacHamish)
