Can hardwood floors be put over a radiating heat system?
I am currently looking into purchasing a new home that has a radiating heat system (heating coils in the floor) throughout the house. Can hardwood floors be put down in the dining room over this type of heating system? ... (Asked by agnosticpeace)

Yes and no. If you want real hard wood, do not use the heating system - disconnect it. Hardwoods are sensitive to heat and can leave you with a cracked, warped, and creaky floor. Not to mentioned risk of fire in case of a malfunction. Engineered wood flooring would be perfect for this purpose and you can still use the radiant heat system....(Answered by Oguz1)
