set it on the cabinet and cover with tea towel!!! It won't spoil. It will get soggy if you put it in the fridge. Quit being so afraid of things spoiling over night on the cabinet. This has enough sugar in it to prevent spoiling for several days on the cabinet. Some of us have "pie safes" to keep our baked goodies in!! They have never been refrigerated....(Answered by sue)

Q.
Is it safe to refrigerate muffin batter?
I am making blueberry muffins as props for a play. They only need a couple at a time, and the mix makes 12. Is it safe to refrigerate the mix for two or three days before baking it, so I don't have to bake it all at once and have much of it go to waste? By safe, I basically mean, will the muffins come out right or will the batter be negatively affected by the cool-down? Thanks! ... (Asked by Esma)

It will be alright, just add the blueberries at the time you are ready to bake the muffins. I have a great recipe for muffin mix that is refrigerated up to 3 months. It makes an ice cream bucket full and you add berries or raisins at the time you are ready to bake the muffins. Email me if you would like it....(Answered by whtcamp)

No, that time is perfect as long as you keep it stored properly so that nothing will contaminate the dough(smells, liquid). Try to seal it airtight if possible, it will prevent drying of the dough as the refrigerator will suck moisture to keep things cool if I remember....(Answered by Confused)

Get a good quality Thermos or two and then you can send him off with things like chili and mac and cheese, or leftovers, the things should stay warm through lunch. Add a packet of nuts for protein and maybe get some of those individual flavoring packets you can add to water bottles. It makes for a great lunch. I've packed my lunch for school for years, using a Thermos and my friends are amazed that I can pack a hot lunch....(Answered by BelleKid)
