For the winter season?
Since winter here in North Dakota is fast approaching what can i do to spice up the exterior of my new house. I'm big into gardening so i'm kind of bummed that the flowers are going to be gone. I have a traditional style white house with two dormers and a front porch that extends the entire front. I have recently added burgundy shutters but am looking for something else to decorate it with. Any ideas to keep it looking plain and white like the rest of this state will look for 6 months

having spent the first 25 years of my life in N.D.,i can only say your question is tough as nothing really helps a house stand out when winter is that long, the nicest houses in winter are those that have trees/shrubs that stay green ,plant some abrovities and juniper bushes. or you might of adding a color that is complimentary to your shutters to your porch railing or pillars ...whatever you may have...better idea...make the inside of your house as nice as you can because that is where you will spend the majority of those long six ...(Answered by quietgiant) |

I really doubt your deck footings will support the weight of the four seasons room, those are double walled glass, and HEAVY!If you overdid the footers, and anchor pads, to start with, maybe, but I wouldn't think it would pass inspection. Why not build the four seasons room around the deck?Just lay the footing trench along the outside perimeter of your existing deck, and after the room is installed, create a bench that encloses the space between the deck and the new glass, for plants,or for sitting?...(Answered by usullafollette) |

Four Seasons Sunroom or Oasis Sunroom by Joyce Mfg?
I have decided to get a sunroom. I am trying to decide between a Four Seasons room, or an Oasis room or one from a general contractor. Does anyone out there have any suggestions or experience with either of these manufacturers? General contractors are always cheaper but are they better or are Four Seasons or Oasis better. Any information one way or the other would be appreciated.

First of all you need to look at where you live and decide which company offers the best product for your weather and climate.
Next what will you use the room for? Will it be child friendly? Consider the purpose of your sun room before jumping to buy one. Compare each company, pros and cons to your purpose for the room.
Compare not only usage but price and don't forget to check the warranty's!!!! Is it guaranteed? Don't jump into it until you have done your homework!...(Answered by memm) |
