if it's a craftsman, liftmaster, or chamberlain (all made by the same company with the same parts), it probably has stripped gears. as said before, they are plastic and strip out easily. the gear replacement kit is available at most garage door companies or on-line if ya want to go that way. open the outer case, if you see white powder laying in the case, that is your problem.
if it's another brand, open the case, some brands have interior belts, easily replaced....(Answered by handsinpants2) |
