Yes, go to your neighborhood hardware store and ask them. They are usually very helpful. If you can take a photo with your phone or a digital camera of the sidewalk and show it to them. All I know is you can't use the same cement of the original sidewalk to do the patching. Also check Bob Villa on line. He has a nice website where your sure to find the answer. Good luck....(Answered by nightcricket)

Q.
Is a building contractor responsible for repairing a sidewalk crack a month after closing?
We purchased a new house in Pima County, near Tucson AZ, and at the time of the walk-through just prior to the closing, there was no crack in the sidewalk. The crack subsequently appeared and extended from a 3 inch crack becomming about a 2 foot crack in just a few days. The crack is less than 1/16 of an inch thick. The contractor says cracking in concrete is almost universal, and given the fact that there are no significant structural or safety issues, he will do no more than re-evaluate the situation in 6 months. The sidewalk was ugly ... (Asked by Sparky)

The acid was muriatic acid used to clean the dirt stains from the concrete, If it was just poured on and the crack apeared in just a short amount of time after that I would suspect that the dirt underneath has caved in and the slab has lost some of the support in that area, or that the water used to rinse it got into a small crack and expanded during the heat of the day. I'm not there, I can't see it, just trying to think of some of the variables. But if your contractor said he will look ...(Answered by fearjar)

If you don't have a pressure washer handy, (I'll assume you don't) start with a good de-greaser like Castrol Super Clean. (You can buy it at Wal Mart) Mix it about 50/50 with water in a spray bottle. Spray the area you want to clean until you get it damp. Let it set for a couple of minutes for the butyl chemicals to start working. Use a bucket of warm water and a brush or push broom to agitate it (scrub) then rinse it thoroughly with cold water (garden hose) You can use the de-greaser ...(Answered by woobinator)

How do I remove modeling clay from my sidewalk?
The boys were playing with modeling clay, (while unsupervised), and smooshed it into the concrete sidewalk leading up to the front door. It seems to be oil based so I cannot scrub it away, water just rolls right off, and the concrete is porous, so a spackling knife only helped in removing the raised parts. Whatever we do, the clay only adheres more. Anyone have any suggestions? ... (Asked by Each1Teach1)
