Looking for Stained Glass Xmas cookie recipe?
Looking for the Stained Glass Xmas Cookie recipe from Good Housekeeping Magazaine from about 1972 - the one with egg yolk and food coloring paint for stained glass effect; cookie was sugar cookie with slight lemon flavor. Can hang on xmas tree and also preserved for years as xmas ornament. My children loved them & I want to make them with my grandchildren now. Please help if you can!! thanks

1 package (17.5 ounces) sugar cookie mix (recommended: Betty Crocker)
1/3 cup cream cheese, softened in microwave for 45 seconds
1 egg
1 teaspoon lemon extract
3 tablespoons cake flour
8 ounces hard candies, assorted colors (recommended: Jolly Ranchers or LifeSavers)
Special Equipment:
Baking sheets
Aluminum foil and cooking spray
Mixing bowl
Flour
Rolling pin
Oversized (4 to 5-inch) ornament-shaped cookie cutter
Smaller cutters, round or square
Cooling rack
Line baking sheets with aluminum foil and spray lightly with cooking spray. Alternatively, you can use a silicone baking mat.

Use a basic sugar cookie recipe, roll out and cut your dough. Once you've placed the cookies on a lightly greased FOIL LINED cookie sheet, you can put Lifesaver (or equivalent) candies in the spot you've cut out of the cookie, where you'd like the stained glass to appear. The foil is very important, as you'll have to let the cookies cool completely before taking them off the cookie sheet. The foil will allow you to remove the cookies. Stained Glass pie?
Does anyone have a recipe for above pie? It as 4 colores of jello you set up and cube .I know the rest of the recipe but i forgot the correct parts of water and jello to mix,I think it is a little less then the regular mix. Anyone know. please no silly stuff from the peanuts I'm in a fix and still have much to do before Christmas. Thankx;Es

1 sm. pkg. red Jello
1 sm. pkg. green Jello
1 sm. pkg. yellow Jello
1 sm. pkg. orange Jello
1 sm. container Cool Whip or other dessert topping
1 c. mini marshmallows (optional)
1 graham cracker pie crust
