You'll never really get it "sterile"; as soon as it comes in contact with air, airborne bacteria will settle on it.
However, you can try boiling it, either in plain water or water with lemon juice or vinegar in it (something acid). You can soak it in a chlorine bleach solution (not pure bleach!). You can microwave it (get it wet first) for ten minutes (don't do this with synthetics!!). Any of these methods will destroy pretty much all of the bacteria, but the only way to keep it sterile is to vacuum-pack it in a sterile environment....(Answered by welmoed) |

The one thing i have a problem with the overuse of the term organic. My experience is 90% of those products should just say environmentally friendly, because if you cant safely ingest it its not truely organic, not that i would ingest them.
The problem with just water is it doesn't clean soap scum. I use scrubbing bubbles myself. It doesn't irritate my skin or sinuses and sanitizes my bathroom. I don't use multiple cleaners and you're right many of the so called organic cleaners fall very far ...(Answered by tony) |

LG Strom SteamWasher vs. Kenmore Elite HE4t?
I'm in the market for a new washing machine and have narrowed it down to two. I'm curious as to your experience with both or either. Home use and the upcoming diaper cleaning/sterilization use.
LG SteamWash (WM2688H) - Consumer Reports liked it, said it is pricey (which it is) and has no service record. I've read mixed reviews. It has it's own water heater which is good and bad (good to have, but bad to maintain).
Kenmore Elite HE4t - Consumer Reports always loves Kenmore. They have a proven track record. CR hasn't rated ... (Asked by SpikeM_98) |

I have the lg steamwasher and dryer with ped. I can safely say there has been no neater appliance in my house! I use it to the max capacity and its been going strong for a year now! YES THEY ARE EXPENSIVE! But hey you can watch your clothes wash at night with the led light!! LOL Just think of it as a kitchen/ laundry room fountain. Then the price seems acceptable. Also it is nice to have the laundry remote if you are upstairs or down....(Answered by Karrien Sim Peters) |
