The 70's, whoah? Depends, are they in a sealed package? Try it! What's the worst that can happen, but best bet to not exert too much time and energy is to test them out first in a good size flower pot, should something sprout, they you can really plant it. Good luck!...(Answered by * Deep Thought *)

Grasshoppers or leafhoppers both pest really ravish at the end of the season. Soapy water will not help at this point you will need to use a pestacide. "sevin" works very well on chewing pests. You can get it at any garden center. Follow the directions for mixing and be sure to do it early in the morning. Zinnias are quite subject to powdery mildew, specially towards the end of the season when the night temps start to drop. Keeping them dry by night fall is important. Once under control a mild soapy water spray will help keep them away. ...(Answered by grandma)

It is good stuff - but different from anything else I have tried. Doesn't taste like spinach to me. If you don't like broccoli or spinach I wouldn't try it, though. If you like Brussell sprouts, you will really like it. If you don't, you still might. The taste is good but strong. White tastes better (not as overwhelming) than red. Pity, because red looks prettier. Try it, stuffed. Use a stuffed pepper or stuffed tomato recipe, and roll the leaves around the meat stuffing, baking it in the oven. Swiss Cheese Plant/Mexican Breadfruit - Need to transplant & have questions?
After four failed attempts, I started my swiss cheese from a small trimming about 1.5 yrs. ago, and have it in a hanging pot. It is doing very well, and has grown and branched out well. I am aware it should be in a floor pot, supported so it can climb upwards. I would like to put it into a larger floor pot, which I have ready to go. I have purchased potting soil with added furtilizer. I am concerned that if I transplant my swiss cheese, it will die. Is this a bad idea? Should I just leave it ... (Asked by marygirl)
