How can I keep frogs out of our pool? My kids are getting so frustrated with our above ground pool turning green b/c of frogs. I keep a chlorine tablet floating and shock it often. buy some pool shock and shock it about once a week,instructions on shock container. Back wash pool filter when pressure gets 2 or 3 lbs. above normal which is about 14 to 17 lbs. You'll need to vacuum or at least sweep the bottom and side when silt settles down there. Be carefull what tablets you put in floater had one blow the lid 30 ft. in the air when it built up pressure. Ok so I seen an info commercial today and now i cant rememeber what it is called help? It was a garden for the indoors and you didnt need dirt only water, a tablet for growing and light. Can I use powdered chlorine instead of tablets? I recently bought a pool and a starter kit. The kit to buy is $40 it comes with algecide and chlorine tablets. you could use either but with tablets you can just add them to an automatic chlorinator and just add more when needed but make sure you moniter the chlorine and ph levels because some tablets make the water acidic and then you need to add bicarbanates...(Answered by Bobby V)

Does anyone know if they make a tablet for pool water that forms a color cloud when urine is present? I have heard that they make a tablet/liquid that goes in the pool water and then whenever there is urine present it forms a cloud in the vicinity as well as follows the person responsible. What are these large bees called that live in the sand around my patio? We live in Albany New York. Recently we put in a flagstone patio which has quickly become the home to a large flying insect that looks like a bee - thick tablet shaped body with a redish midsection. Wings flap spastically when its on the ground and it lives in the sand between the stones. I think my parents have this type of bee by their pool - they dive bomb water. How do I get my cloudy pool clear? Our pool has been cloudy for over a month. It seems to have started when I shocked the pool. I am using the same shock I have always used and am sure that I am using the correct amount. I have tried those Formulas that supposidly clear up a cloudy pool, but they have not been successful. We use to buy a blue gel tablet at Target that you would put in your skimmer and it would clear it up in no time. They no longer have it and I can't find it anywhere. Any ideas? I can be many things causing this. You have to start ruling a few things out. 1/ Check your water chemistry. Your Total alkalinity ought to be 80 -100 , Ph 7.2 - 7.6, Cl 1.0 -3.0. If your test kit doesn't test total alkalinity, buy one. It's actually more important than Ph or Cl. Better yet, right now, I'd be taking a sample into a pool shop. They'll test for free. It sounds to me that you may not know how to preperly deal with your chemistry at the moment. 2/ Check the filter. When was the last time it was ...(Answered by scubabob)
