I just bought a brother cs100 and try to thread the bobbin. I try to understand the manual, but it doesn't explain it easily.
it says to insert the bobbin thread through the tention spring, but I cannot find it anwhere. does anybody know how to do it? thanks
I tried to find the spring. But the bobbin case is so big and there is not a single slid on the case or anything with a lttle screw. is there a different case you put into the big one?
Never mind, I thought something was missing. So the whole bobbin case was ... (Asked by lonestar) |

On he bobbin holder there is a small spring that is attached by a small screw that you can also use to adjust the tension. That is the tension spring you need to put the thread through. There should be a small slit on the side of the bobbin holder that will go down behind the spring. That is where you pull the thread through when you have the bobbin in the holder. Take the tread and slide it down the slit you see and it will give a small click when it is in correctly....(Answered by ramall1to) |

Bobbin thread won't pick up on Singer 457, please help?
I have an older Singer 457 which until yesterday ran great but as I sewing denim, my needle hit something and would not down. I took the face plate/slide plate off and discovered the metal piece that the bobbin case sits in had moved and the needle was hitting the bottom plate. I moved it slightly and now the top thread will not pick up the bobbin thread. Does that bobbin case holder have to be in a certain position? And is it supposed to turn? It will turn occasionally when I put the needle down but then only for ... (Asked by shop4bargains) |

while i haven't seen that exact model, i'm fairly sure that you have the bobbin case in wrong.
in order to pick up the bobbin thread, the needle thread has to go around the bobbin.
(and, of course, your bobbin thread has to be long enough.)
it's not doing that.
if you watch, you can probably see that the thread goes part way around, then pulls back.
that happens because something is tight against the bobbin holder, which is supposed to be a bit loose.
i remember having a similar problem, and the mistake is not particularly obvious.
i'd recommend looking at the manual.
maybe you can ...(Answered by ) |

the higher the thread count the more durable and longer lasting they will be. depending on the weave also high thread counts can be softer, but some high thread count sheets can be not as soft but they are very strong and has great abrasion resistance. basically the higher the thread count the better. the highest thread count i have seen is 1000 thread count ply weave. it can get quite complicated. i belive the lowest thread count i have seen is the 250 thread count. i hope that helps....(Answered by natasha) |

I have recently purchased some 1000 thread count sheets. Compared to my standard 250 thread count they are very crisp and cool. They feel clean even after being on the bed for an entire week and they feel a little silky, but they don't make you hot like satin does in the middle of summer.
I would recommend them for everyone - they feel so luxurious....(Answered by reno girl) |
