How do I get rid of mouse in my house???
There's this mouse in my house, I can hear it walking at night when i'm on my bed.
It got into every single drawer it chewed throught the bottom of the china cabinet. Got into the couch cusions and literally ate its way through all 3 of the cushions. Chewed through boxes in the cupboard, loaves of bread.
I noticed it made a tunnel in the wall in the kitchen so I put a mouse trap there but it never walks on it so the trap is empty and I almost caught my toe in the mouse trap the other night. ... (Asked by Johnny S) |

Wow, you might want to try getting rat poison or mouse traps. If you know where the mouse is attacking, then plant it there and see if anything turns up. If not then call an exterminator to come in an professionally kill it.
if you have a cat, let it loose...(Answered by trainwreckBud) |

How do i get rid of rust coming out of the air regulator valves in my whirlpool tub? plumbers are all stumped!
When we run the whirlpool tub, rusty flakes cover the surface of the water and leave a gross orange ring. The rusty stuff was coming out of the jets and the air adjustment valves above the jets. i have tried running dishwasher powder throught the system, bleach, CLR as per some suggestions. CLR gets rid of it temporarily. have had plumbers look at it but they just scratch their head and say i dunno. i can't stand to use the tub because it is pretty gross to see the flakes floating on top of the bubbles. i ... I will agree with just about every body's answer. Most pump on whirlpools are nylon impellers or bronze, which both of them should not produce rust. If your water heater is rusting out it could be the problem, draining will only last a while. If you happen to have galvanized pipe of a piece of black pipe in you water system this could cause rust. If you go to other fixtures in your house and get rust out of them it could be that. It could also be from the water main it self, which is ...(Answered by etcher1) |

Kreepys are pretty simple. First off make sure that your filter pressure (Kreepy unplugged) is normal. If it's low , you may have a n obstruction in the suction line or the pump impellor is jammed with fine debris like pine needles or a leaf that got past the basket. If high, then a backwash. Clearing out the debris or the backwash will do the trick.
If your pressure is ok, check the hose for splits. If all sections of the hose are fine and tight then the issue is in the Kreepy. Look down the business end. You'll see ...(Answered by scubabob) |

If the gas is off it will be hard for you to use the normal soapy water to test for leaks since with no pressure you have no leaks.
When new lines are installed they are tested with compresses air. The lines are pressurized and the pressure is monitored with a gauge to see if it holds. To do that you will need a air compressor some plumbing fittings inc. a valve and a gauge . Any hardware store should be able to set you up with what to need....(Answered by tallbrian1000) |

Trying to find the right height for chimney install.?
I know the span & pitch of my roof (28'+16"[overhang back]+40"[overhang front] @ 4/12 pitch) but am having a wee bit of problems figuring the math out. We are going to place it approx. 60" in from the front. The height for the chimney must be 3' above the highest point where it passes throught the roof and at least 2' above anything within a 10' horiznal radius of it.

Since your roof is a 4/12 pitch(rise of 4 inches per foot) any point 10 feet from the chimney going up the roof would be 40" higher than the roof at the chimney. You then need to add 24" additional height above that. So your height for your chimney will be a minimum of 64". If you are 10 feet or less from the peak you only have to be 24" above the peak....(Answered by stedyedy) |
