Will you spread your Plume Poppy my way?
I'm craving Macleaya Cordata!!!! I know it's pretty invasive, as I used to grow it in some pretty tough spots, but I have a new (and even tougher) spot in mind. But I will not be able to dig up my original plant. I am looking for roots and a bit of leaf from gardeners who know they have plume poppy and are going to dig it up to make space for better plants. Here is a brief summation of the plant, just in case your not sure if you have it growing in your garden: Macleaya cordata "Plume Poppy".... A ... (Asked by dumbdumb)

I'd recommend you go to your local hardware store and purchase a product that contains the active ingredient; "Triclopyr". It is very good at killing bushes such as the one you described. It's sold as "Brush-Killer" or "Brush-B-Gone" and is much stronger than Roundup...although it works in the same manner. Simply mix according to directions and apply it to the entire bush by using a sprayer or cut the brush and use a paint brush to the cut surfaces. IF you do the latter method, make sure you apply the Triclopyr within 10 minutes after cutting otherwise ...(Answered by jazzmaninca2003)

I'm looking to plant a 40 foot L-shaped hedge and am not sure of the best shrub to use.?

the Barberry is a touchy but lovely choice. It can be a little hard to get started, but once established it's a keeper! On the other hand, the Hardy Privet is very nice also. or perhaps a spirea or honeysuckle. But if you like the look of the canadian hemlock, by all means, go for it. Personally, I'd go for either the worthwhile extra work of the barberry or the honeysuckle.... I actually have a HUGE (297 ft long) hedge of wild honeysuckle bordering my property along the roadway.... the whole thing is in bloom and the scent is amazing! good luck....(Answered by Elfa Wild <realpaganwoman13>)

well they can only be two answers and you mentioned one of them and that is leaving it on too long and over maturing the other is in what varieties you planted if they happened to be a variety of field corn you won't have the sweetness this is what it sounds like you have as field corn is a tough starchy corn as far as the watering don't think that would have alot of effect on sweetness or being starchy not enough water usually mean stunted growth and smaller stalks and ears.you said you planted 3 varieties even if ...(Answered by prospectorofgold)
