How does Holiday Trash Collection work? A mystery I've never been able to figure out is how trash collection works on holidays. Where I am, on holiday weeks, trash collection gets delayed a day. But this of course solves nothing. There is still the same amount of trash to collect, and the same employees (of someone, not necessarily the town) to pick it up, but one less day to do it. In my town they work on Saturday and get paid overtime for it. This allows them to give them off for the holiday but still get the trash picked up....(Answered by Big D)

would you consider taking out the trash house work? I know someone that consider's taking out trash house work like dusting the furniture , vaccuming, etc. I don't if I'm cleaning the bathroom I sure don't consider it the same as taking out the trash do you? . help ... (Asked by derh)

Expanding on taking out trash question see below? What if trash bins are a mile away and you live on 2nd floor apartment? He leaves trash piling up for a week or more. Airline trashed my suitcase. Any recommendations for cleaning (exterior is tan canvas and leather)? I flew Northwest Airlines last week and couldn't believe how dirty my suitcase was when it came off the conveyor belt. Looks like it was dragged BEHIND the luggage cart. try a little murphy's oil soap with water if its on the leather, then be sure to put leather conditioner on your bag when you are done cleaning it. If it is not real leather, they try regular soap and water. Also, you could try one of those "magic erasers" to remove the marks. Take the trash to the dump, It is really inexpensive and very quick. DO NOT throw your bags in some one elses dumpster, It is against the law. If you have anything valueble then take it to goodwill or sell it local paper or Ebay....(Answered by lookin4fishingal)

Listen - It's not a bad thing! You may hate it as it is, but remember it's only a temporary condition! If you can't roll up your sleeves now, do it in the morning - but before you do, just do one thing before you go to bed, like throw the trash in the waste basket, or pick up any dishes and put them in the sink. Why's it harder to throw the trash into the HUGE trash can hole than the tiny gap between the can and the wall You throw your wad of paper at the trash can and inevitably it BARELY goes through that teeeeeny hole or gap between the can and the wall!!! Every time I put in a new bag I spray the inside of the bag and around the edge before placing on the lid with bug killer. But mainly the best way is to not put any food waste, or meat packaging in the garbage if possible....(Answered by True Friend)
