How do I get rid of mice in the garden?
I have been growing my veggies for a good number of years now, but have never encountered so many mice holes. I do not use chemicals and do not like to kill anything. Does anyone know a safe way to rid me of mice without affecting my principles, I have tried mothballs down the holes, but to no avail (I used these to get rid of moles!). Help is urgently required as they are feasting on my seedlings every night. Finally please no expensive gadgets as am on a very low income.

i use a trip trap there not dear under £10 they catch the mouse live and then you release it a certain distance from your house,it says how far on them.
you can also make live traps your self if you get a container that lid drops like them swing bin things needs to swing shut as mice can jump pretty high hope thats of help :-)...(Answered by Mouse) |

Mould problem need advice urgently?
I just moved my bed out from the wall and behind it the wall is wet and covered with furry black and white mould. THe carpet is affected too, and the mould is starting to creep past the bed which is what caused me to look behind there. I am horrified as I have been sleeping right next to this for god knows how long.
What am I supposed to do?
FYI: The wall affected is an outside wall, I have looked on the outside there is no obvious signs of moisture, the wall is dry and there are no drains near ... (Asked by cigaro19)

come across this problem alot i have a (Stonemasonry and restoration business) people call us in to damp proof the area but its caused by cold spots i.e wardrobes, beds etc blocking heat from the radiators especially against external walls of older houses with no or poor cavity insulation the cold air from the cavity also rises through the floor where the floor joists are built into the wall. Do you live in Somerset and your sorting office is either Chip Lane, Taunton or Filton in Bristol and your mail keeps gong missing?
Do you have an email address for customer services for royal mail?
I should have had a few important letters turn up but nothing yet, found out the hospital wrote to me and I did not get the letter but my GP kindly gave me a copy. So I am now awaiting for 2 hospital appointments.

however you may be aware that royal mail workers are considering strike action over a so0rting machine problem or something (i saw on local news earlier (ITV1) they showed a pile of chewed up shredded mail, so may be your post is in amongst that. so you may never get those letters.
