soap makes little difference rather its for cold or not. whites will not be whiter in cold water, but delicate fabrics will last longer in cold water, sheets and towels use hot, blouses and lingerie use cold, the laundry soap is very little if any different, thats just a ploy to get you to buy it....(Answered by starrwoode)

Use baking soda in the laundry for brighter, whiter, softer, cleaner results Doing laundry can be a pleasure when your clothes come out the way you want them to - clean, sweet smelling and fresh. Baking soda does the trick. Put about a quarter cup in the laundry. It helps soften and boosts cleaning power. It's excellent for cleaning shower curtains - in or out of the washing machine. There is a dye out there... I don't remember the name but you will find it in your laundry detergent aisle at the store. It is a blue dye in a bottle about 4 or 5 inches tall. It is usually on the top shelf of the aisle. No joke... it is a long explaination but it has to do with how the human eye sees color. It is why most any toothpaste is blue or has blue in it. It gives the illusion of being whiter than it really is. I refused ...(Answered by thecat_didit)

Soak them in Oxiclean, or Rits makes something for getting white whiter, it`s in a small box like their Dye is in. You can get both of them at Wal-Mart. I did see on TV last night that Clorox has come out with a new bleach, its a liquid and comes in a container like liquid laundry detergent, but I have not used it, not sure if it would work like regular chlorine bleach and ruin your socks, Something to think about if you are in the cleaning Isle at Wal-Mart. Bleach works great but destroys clothes. I use Oxy clean as a pre soak. I skip putting it in the tray and put it right in there with the clothes. Then I have the washer delay for 10. Mine has presets, I'm sure yours does too. Then when it kicks back on I put the liquid in the detergent tray. So far I have been getting great results. For bras I just hand wash those with Woolite. You don't want those under wires to come loose. If you want ...(Answered by devisissy)

Hi there, Bleach can do the job. But you must be careful of what type of fabric you bleach, it can break down the fibers in the fabric. The better option is to soak the clothes in peroxide and bicarb soda with some water in a bucket. Then get some blue tissues paper wrap it around the clothes and store in a box. Its an old trick but it works....(Answered by Pink_Panther)
